Julian cut his teeth on the streets of Boston and NYC, often playing in the subways and local clubs. After gaining success on the east coast and some national tours, he eventually needed to push the reset button and found himself back in Boulder, his hometown. This reset meant playing more of a behind the scene role – as a touring guitar player playing at stages such as the Bluebird and Red Rocks, producing/developing local artists, and founding a new record label Wolf Den Records.
A new album is in the works, and you’ll hear lots of 60’s soul, blues and american influences in his indie, sometimes dreamlike sound. To help groove out the night at the Trident, he’ll have his trio with him: Leor Manelis (drums) and Steve Jones (bass) and possibly some other local favorites to join him.
